Pays to be on the right “path”…

It was another challenging day, one rewarded by reunion with Angie, Liam, Kailin and Gwen.

One of the axioms of mission’s trip travel is “be flexible”. This morning “flexible” arrived at 2:15 when our driver showed up 45 minutes early. Not that it mattered tremendously as Pam and I were already awake!

Shawn told us that our 75 minute trip to the port was record time … Most likely because we had no one to share the path with. “Path” is the correct word; there’s no way this could be considered a road.

As soon as the tide came in we loaded up and headed for Nosy Mitsio. Total time since we left our home Sunday was approximately 85 hours.

The reward was lots of hugs from the grandkids and a firsthand experience of what life is like here.
