High School Guatemala Trip

14 high school students, 4 adult leaders, and 2 of our leader’s kids (20 people total) leave for Guatemala tomorrow, April 1 oh…and 36 suitcases…. During our time in Guatemala we will be spending a lot of time with 90 kids in the community of La Communidad. Half of our team will do VBS in a local church during the day and the other half will be part of building a Learning Center for the kids. Peace in the midst of the election in Kenya

This update is long overdue, but we wanted to make you aware of the need for peace for the country of Kenya. During the last presidential election major violence erupted as a result of what was thought to be corruption during the election process. Shane’s Thursday blog

The train ride was an inspirational trip.  On one part it shows us how most Indians travel from city to city.  On the other end I had the opportunity to see how an Indian man protects his family.  Throughout the night a man continued to pull our curtain back and check on his family.  He would walk into our area and look around.  At one point he stood there silently for over 15 minutes.  Since I was unable to sleep, I watched a movie and read until early.
